We are increasingly addicted to technology. DISconnect helps reduce our dependence on technology and encourages users to engage with the world around them. Put down your phone and join the conversation. Our DISconnect sessions hold joiners accountable for their phone usage. DISconnect users can host a session and invite their peers to join using a unique passcode. The application indicates for all session users when someone has exited the application (via engaging with their phone) before the host has formally ended the session. Hosts even have the option to further encourage disconnecting by asking users who leave a session early to donate to charity. Have you ever been at a dinner with friends and everyone keeps checking their social media accounts? Have you ever been in a work meeting and all of your colleagues are focused on their emails? Have you ever been at home with the family and find your kids glued to games on their phone? Have you ever been on a date with your spouse and he/she won t stop checking the score of some game?
